Vidic will stay at Old Trafford

Every season there appears to be speculation on the future of Nemanja Vidic and this term it’s no different, with several reports linking him with a move to Juventus. However, despite the constant speculation, Vidic’s agent remains defiant about his client’s future and says that there have been no negotiations with any club.

TEVEZ WONT SAY SORRY

Carlos Tevez has refused to apologise to Sir Alex Ferguson over his ill advised “RIP Fergie” sign which he held aloft at Manchester City’s Premier League victory parade.

City have already apologised on behalf of their striker but Tevez himself has distanced himself from the remarks including those attributed to him in the release from the Etihad.

Tevez accused Ferguson on having “said the worst about me” adding there is “no relationship at all” between the two.

Rodwell should Snub United

Johnny Heitinga has urged Jack Rodwell to stay at Everton Football Club.

The England Under-21 international has emerged as one of the brightest talents this country has produced in years, and he is being tipped as a potential captain of the future.

Manchester United are said to be willing to pay as much as £25million for Rodwell, but his Toffees teammate, Heitinga, has urged him to remain at Goodison Park.

ROONEY MISSES 4 WEEKS

Wayne Rooney is out for the next four weeks because of “minor” ligament damage.

A club statement said: “We’re pleased to report that Wayne has not suffered a fracture (to his ankle). The scan revealed only minor ligament damage.”

It is not yet known how many games the striker will miss for United. He is expected to miss Saturday’s vital Premier League clash against Chelsea.

United Crash to Bayern

Ivica Olic hit an injury-time winner to give Bayern Munich the advantage over a poor Manchester United team, and set up a brilliant second leg against the Red Devils.

United took the lead after only 66 seconds when Wayne Rooney volleyed in six yards out from Nani’s free-kick.

But Franck Ribery’s deflected free-kick set up a dramatic finale, rounded off by Olic’s cool run and finish after a defensive error by Patrice Evra.

Rooney might be injured

There are injury fears surrounding Manchester United star Wayne Rooney.

After victory over Liverpool last night, Rooney was carrying a pronounced limp as he left Old Trafford.

The Independent says United were unable to confirm whether he had incurred an injury or exacerbated the inflammation to kneecap tendons which led manager Sir Alex Ferguson to question the striker’s full role in England’s friendly against Egypt earlier this month.
