Johnny Heitinga has urged Jack Rodwell to stay at Everton Football Club.
The England Under-21 international has emerged as one of the brightest talents this country has produced in years, and he is being tipped as a potential captain of the future.
Manchester United are said to be willing to pay as much as £25million for Rodwell, but his Toffees teammate, Heitinga, has urged him to remain at Goodison Park.
“Jack is a good player and I hope he stays,” he told Sky Sports. “I also think it would be good for him at a club like Everton. He gets his chance to play and it is good to have him in the squad.”
