Money Through Friendly

The Manchester United has the chances of playing attractive friendly matches in the near future so as to compensate a loss of 20 million dollars as they failed to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League. It has already planned out its absence from the European competition.

NANI OUT

Manchester United is willing to receive offers for the Portuguese winger Luis Nani who is unhappy with his current situation in the Premier League. Having only been featured in 9 matches for Manchester United in this season, he wants to earn more playing time in order to secure a spot in Portugal for the 2014 World Cup.
Juventus are interested in signing Luiz Nani from Manchester United but are having trouble in settling with his salary wages and might be the obstacle between the transfer on actually happening and not.

OLD BOYS SIGN UP

The duo of Manchester United, Nemanja Vidic and Michael Carrick have penned new contract with the English club. The veteran midfielder extended his contract for 2 more years meanwhile the defender agreed to a 12-month extension.

Nemanja Vidic has been a big target of Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City but every single offer that was launched at Manchester United was quickly discarded. Even with the recent series of injuries and downhill ride of Vidic’s career he is still considered to be one of the best defenders of modern days.

BORE DRAW

Manchester United failed to return to winning ways after managing only a draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions league group stages.

They could only manage a 1-1 draw away to the Ukrainian club after conceding late. This result leaves United at the top of the table, but the gap between them and the rest of the teams in the group is extremely close. United were without star striker Wayne Rooney, who was left out of the matchday squad because of an injury. Rooney and Robin van Persie have been the major goal threat for United.

MIND GAMES WELCOME

Manchester United manager David Moyes recently said that he would welcome any mind games with his Chelsea counterpart José Mourinho, but he has not clarified the statement by saying that there is no feud with the Portuguese.

Mourinho is widely known as one of the best when it comes to mind games. He has used it to great effect in his last 10 years as a manager. The 50-year-old, though, appears to have softened a bit since coming to Chelsea for the second spell. Manchester United will be one of his main opponents in the coming season.

HIP OP FOR FERGIE

The manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, might have to miss some games at the start of the next season as he is expected to go through a hip operation when the Red Devils come back to England after their pre season tours.

The Manchester United team will come back at the end of July which means that there will not be enough time left for Ferguson to go through the operation and then, recover to comeback at the start of the season. So, it’s likely that he will miss a few games.

NINE POINTS

Manchester United have been one of the best teams in the Premier league so far this campaign, and their nine-point lead in the table is certainly justified. However, the manager Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out any sort of complacency with the team by pointing to the last season’s title race.

United almost had a similar advantage going into the final eight matches of the season. Hence, it was actually a much stronger position than they are in right now. However, they managed to lose the title on the final day of the season after an incredible collapse.

SMALLING CURSES LUCK

The Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has said that he wants to end his bad luck when it comes to injuries as soon as possible.

The defender only recently returned to first team action after spending several months on the injury table. He has not played for Manchester United since the end of last season, while also missing crucial matches and tournaments. He was not part of the Euro 2012 as well. A thigh injury has kept him out of action for this long, but he has made a successful return to the first-team and has so far made 12 appearances for the club.
