UNITED SUMMER SIGNING FRED WANTS TO LEAVE

Manchester United summer addition Fred wants to leave Old Trafford after only a few months, as per reports. Against Man City, Paul Pogba was sidelined due to injury, forcing Jose Mourinho to play Marouane Fellaini from the start instead of fielding his summer purchase Fred.

The Brazilian is reportedly fed up with his lack of game time since moving to the Premier League. He was supposed to be the star addition to help boost the midfield but he has been largely left out so far. Mourinho would have preferred to have his Pogba around, as he complained bitterly about the situation after the game. He said when the game was 2-1 he would have preferred to bringin Felliani as his impact substitute as usual but then he had already started the Belgian. This just confirms the lack of faith in Fred, who was rotting away in the bench.

The future of Pogba at Old Trafford remains uncertain yet £50m acquisition few months back is already seeking a fresh move. The 25-year old doubts he would get a chance to step up anytime soon even if Juventus can lure Pogba back to Italy. There are rumours that the Serie A side would be willing to offer MedhiBenatia, Alex Sandro and Mario Mandzukic in a bid to get the Franc international.

United are already being linked with a move for Ajax star Frenkie de Jong. The 21-year old is high rated and priced around £50m. Mourinho and his team are willing to rival Manchester City’s interest in the youngster. Guardiola is planning for the future of his aging midfield with the technically gifted player who could spend a long time at the Etihad Stadium if the deal goes through.

These are enough reasons for Fred to want a life away from Old Trafford only after a short while.
