MARTIAL SIGNS NEW MAN UNITED CONTRACT

Manchester United ace Anthony Martial has finally put pen to paper on a new contract deal that will see him remain at the Theatre of Dream until 2024 with an option to extend for a further year.

The Frenchman’s contract was due to expire in the summer but he has now extended his stay at Old Trafford which will come as a relief to all supporters.

That said, the contract deal comes after so much speculation over the last few months as the talks with the player’s agent stalled on numerous occasions.

Martial looked set to be exiting Manchester United at the close of the current campaign, following his fallout with former manager Jose Mourinho over so many issues.

He reportedly turned down a contract offer in October, raising a few eyebrows over his future at the club.

However, the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm has given the Frenchman a new feel of confidence at Old Trafford and the player is now determined to keep on plying his trade in the English Premier League.

The 23 year old has been in scintillating form for the Red Devils so far this season, registering 10 goals and chipping with an assist in as many as 28 appearances in all competitions.

One of the players to have benefited directly from the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Martial is now flying sky high and it feels there is no stopping him at the moment.

Following the extension of his contract, the France international appreciated the manager and coaching staff for the belief they showed to have offered him a chance to remain at Manchester United, saying that he will try to take his game to the next level.

Next up for the Red Devils is a trip to the King Power Stadium to take on 2016 Premier League champions Leicester City.
