MANCHESTER UNITED LOSE SUMMER TARGET

Manchester United target Anderson Talisca hassigned with Chinese Super League side Guanghou Evergrande on a loan deal, according to reports in Portugal. The 24-year old was one of the prized assets set to move to Old Trafford this summer but he has rather moved to the Far East.

Talisca joined Portuguese side Benfica in 2014. He had a promising start to life in Lisbon but his future is now clouded. The Brazilian was set to resuscitate his career at an even higher level at Manchester under Jose Mourinho but things didn’t quite go to plan.

The player played the last two seasons on loan at Besiktas but was set for a permanent move to England. The Chinese outfit has confirmed the agreement with Benfica to get Talisca on a loan deal. It is surprising that the player would be keen on another loan spell, especially after a strong spell in Turkey. A permanent move should have been the preference so he could really advance his career at 24 already. He played 78 games for Besiktas, scoring 37 goals.

Evergrande announced the six month deal subject to a medical in a few days. The player would join up with his teammates in Italy thereafter for a summer training camp ahead of the second half of the Chinese Premier League.

Manchester already signed two players in Fred and Diogo Dalot. They are reportedly in talks to lure centre back Toby Alderweild from Tottenham Hotspur as well.
