Wayne Rooney: ‘’All the responsabilities can’t be put on Louis van Gaal’’

The players themselves and not only the manager should take responsibility about certain things that have been going on in the club; this is what Wayne Rooney believes as the Englishman voiced his thoughts about some things that should change in Old Trafford.

“It’s unfair to say it’s the manager. We’re on the pitch, so the players have to take a lot of responsibility for performances and results. We have to stand up and take criticism when it’s there. We want to win, of course, we always want to win and we’re trying. Even when you’re giving 100 percent, it doesn’t always come off’’ Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney said.

Manchester United is consistently being named in magazines and headlines of sports news as a club that is going through an extremely disappointing and forgettable season but after taking a look at their position in the Premier League standings, it’s not such a bad campaign as the media is pointing it out to be.

United is currently positioned in the 5th spot of the top tier English League as they have collected 40 points after 24 matches and still have a realistic chance of winning the league in this season.

The main problem that has affected Louis van Gaal and his connection with the supporters of the club is the playing style that Manchester United has been displaying but even with this displeasing method of playing, they have still managed to stay in the higher section of the Premier League, which is something that clubs such as: Liverpool and Chelsea have not been able to do in this season.

Louis van Gaal can do everything in his power to make Manchester United win more matches but it won’t make a difference if his players are underperforming and this is what Wayne Rooney outlined as there are performers who are struggling and they should take responsibility instead of laying it all on the Dutch manager who is already in danger of being axed.
