Jose Mourinho Happy with Comfortable Europa League Victory

Manchester United appear to have finally hit a run of form after managing a 4-0 win over Feyenoord in the Europa League.

The result may have just kept their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive. More importantly, it gives them a result worthy of their performances. United have been looking good in recent weeks after the manager made several changes to the tactics. However, draws against Arsenal and Burnley did not reflect the team’s performances, as United created several chances in these games only to be disappointed by the inability to finish.

Against the Dutch opponents in the Europa League, United had everything and they even managed to finish several chances. There were numerous positives including Wayne Rooney managing to score once again. His previous goal since September also came in the Europa league against Fenerbahce a few weeks ago. He has now become the record goalscorer for the club in all competitions. Jose Mourinho claimed that he was happy with the performance of his team.

The Portuguese manager has increasingly been frustrated with his team’s inability to get consistent set of results.

This was the second of the four home games for United, and they now take on West Ham in back-to-back games.

The first of the doubleheader will be in the Premier league on Sunday.“Yeah I’m happy, this was a performance and a result. I was saying before the match, performance without result is not good but gives you a future. A bad performance with a good result is a happy moment but it’s just a happy moment, not a happy future. And this time they played very well again with goals and it’s important for us because we always said since day one we want to do well in the Europa League,” said the United manager.
